'If it gets distorted, make your project about distortion'
This project was about learning and teaching a new skill and creating a new type of classroom. After getting frustrated by failing at learning ceramics, I started questioning why our education system doesn't accept failure, even though it is essential in the creative process.
This resulted in a collection of artworks, texts, exhibitions, photos etc that dealt with the thematic of failure. This was done by starting conversations with artists and designers, researching, asking friends and family, creating discussions... The outcome is the Instagram account @i.have.failed, aiming to create a culture of accepting and celebrating failure, sharing learned lessons and subverting social media's convention of just showing successes.
